Overview

The role of School Governor is demanding but very rewarding and is a good way to give back to your local community.  School governing bodies are responsible for working with the school to ensure that it delivers a good quality education.  Together with the Headteacher, who is responsible for day-to-day management, they set the school’s aims and policies.

Our Governors are an integral part of the school and you will see many of them around school during the year.  We have termly Governors meetings with an agenda set by the County Council.  We also hold interim meetings three times a year with an agenda set by the school.

As well as the usual full Governors meetings we have regular committee meetings which are attended by Governors allocated to specific committees.

We have four Parent Governors and they serve a four year term.  When vacancies occur all parents are informed and invited to submit nominations for vacant positions.
