Year 2 had a fantastic time at the Discovery Museum today. We found out more about what life was like during 1854 at the time of The Great Fire of Newcastle and Gateshead, put on a puppet show to tell the story and explored the story of Newcastle through the museum. Wylam First School

During the second half of the Spring term, Year 4 have been involved in an exciting project within the local area. Over the past 5 weeks, we have been hatching salmon eggs to help do our bit in increasing the population of salmon fish in our rivers here in Wylam. Our alevin (baby salmon) are now ready to be released into their new homes. This will take place this Saturday at 10am, at the below location in Ovingham. Please come along if you would like to see our salmon being released and possibly even participate in releasing the fish into their new homes.
